Coins are not only means of payment and propaganda tools of the emperors, but they also tell stories about many aspects of daily life in Roman times. How were they designed, and where were they minted? How many sesterces was an aureus worth? What do coins have to do with cult and death? The tour provides insights into the historical and economic development of the old Tyrolean region from the time of the occupation in 15 BC, using Roman coins as a reference.
