The art collections of the Tyrolean State Museums owe their holdings predominantly to the generous patronage of citizens whose love for art is accompanied by the commitment to share their precious artistic experiences with the public and to make the artworks accessible in museum spaces. It is a special stroke of luck that Karlheinz and Agnes Essl have also directed their generous goodwill towards us, enriching the holdings of the Graphic Collection with essential positions of contemporary art from their private collection.
