As part of the City Nature Challenge 2023, nature enthusiasts are invited to record as many different plants and animals as possible in and around Innsbruck. The observations and data are easily collected on the platform iNaturalist (mobile app). A BioBlitz is a citizen science initiative which calls upon everyone to contribute, and where anyone can easily participate. The data will then be made available to interested parties and scientists worldwide, contributing to the preservation of the environment and biodiversity.

Note: As part of the initiative, numerous independent surveys are intended to be carried out in the study area. However, there will be assistance available for beginners. In the lead-up to the event, more detailed information and dates for events where experts will be present in the field will be sent out.
