the permanent exhibition "Zeughaus NEU"
In the Maximilian Arsenal in Innsbruck, there has been a museum dedicated to the history of the Tyrol region since 1973 – as a branch of the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum – whose permanent exhibition was renewed in 1999.
The new concept of the presentation lies in the interplay between the landscape or location of historical Tyrol in the heart of Europe and the people who lived here. Cultural and regional history is narrated and critically examined from the perspective of the population.
